Guest speaking on different topics including machine learning models, mathematics and data cleaning/preparation.I was first invited to speak on some mathematical concepts that appeared frequently in the Data Science MSc course, which I was also participating in as a student at the time. The aim of any of my lectures is to illustrate underlying links between different mathematical concepts, and to encourage students from a non-mathematical background to consider mathematics as a way of thinking, rather than intimidating formulae. The Traffic and Data Services Division of Tracsis provides transport survey, market research, consultancy and data capture services. I was responsible for ensuring our regional data projects were delivered accurately. I still participated heavily in data analysis and creation of bespoke reports for clients; I worked with a variety of traffic data including junction flows, queues, parking, GPS Journey Times and Automatic Number Plate Recognition. Part of my role was to seek out improvement initiatives in analysis processes and provide staff training across multiple branches. Show less
