(Formerly known as the School of International Relations and Pacific studies) The UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) addresses the crucial societal challenges of the 21st century. The School’s pioneering research builds on internationally recognized expertise of the Americas and Asia, integrates analysis of public policy and markets, and explores global issues of conflict and cooperation. GPS is well renowned for its academic rigor and outstanding faculty members. The two-year Master of International Affairs (MIA), full time degree program focuses on the Americas and Asia. During my time at GPS, I focused on international politics with a regional specialization in Latin America. My coursework spans qualitative and quantitative analysis of world affairs, public policy issues, and the global marketplace. The tools and skill-set taken from studies are particularly geared for careers in international education, project management, and program coordination. Show less
