As a student at BCIT there were many projects that were very hands on and self guided. This trained us to work as in real working situations with little guidance thus working though and solving problems individually or in your group. Please see my major projects I completed at BCIT in the sections below. As a student at BCIT there were many projects that were very hands on and self guided. Working on road, building and bridge structures. Doing calculations for bridge strength and durability, also land surveying, and working with AutoCad on road designs. On AutoCad I worked with new road layouts and side street layouts. I also assisted in site surveying for potential road changes and possible hazards. I assisted in the surveying of the intersection of Kensington and Canada Way. When back to the office I used AutoCad to show hazards, such as water and pipe lines running through the area and large objects that would be hard to remove. Demonstrated excellent work ethic, and ability to exceed individually and with a partner. 70 hours of work experience. Show less
