The project involved writing numerical code to analyse how the star light received from many different stars varies over time in an attempt to detect the presence of planets. Should a planet pass between us and their star, a portion of the star light is blocked resulting in a dip light. This project involved writing codes in Fortran, IDL, Matlab, and Mathematica to detect such events. The final project was typeset using LATEX The project involved writing numerical code to analyse how the star light received from many different stars varies over time in an attempt to detect the presence of planets.
