*For Ross Stores, Inc., managed 25-person team responsible for distribution of physical inventory across regional retail network, consistently achieving 100% delivery thresholds* Built and implemented automated reporting, reducing over 600 hours dedicated management time within two years; extensive Visual Basic for Applications experience * Simplified complex merchandise inventory system, maximizing distribution efficiencies resulting in a 50% reduction in labor and processing costs* Analyzed and updated processes at both a macro level for organizational efficiency and at a micro level, identifying department-level gaps and areas of opportunity to fine tune our operational systems to lower labor costs, decrease defects in physical distribution, and increase employee satisfaction – resulting in a departmental turnover of 0% while the center at large was over 290%* Implemented a continuous improvement effort, where I determined that our standards protocols were severely out of date through gradual changes to product mix, departmental goals, and customer buying behaviors. Starting with hands-on research and modeling with my team, we introduced new processes schemas (a change of 38% more models) and rewrote all existing standards, resulting in a full suite of documentation updates (60% more robust practices). With a focus on building processes to lower labor debt across the center, I advocated for a 40% increase in time on task at the pre-sort stage which resulted in a net zero cost for the center by lowering downstream team tasks. Adrian Bailey of the music group Soulful Echoes came to me with a problem. He is a masterful musician able to create works of astounding beauty with a simple wooden flute. What he lacked was an ability to create and use the digital media that is so pervasive in our world. That's where I came in. Using Photoshop and Pinnacle Studio, I created video slideshows for use in Adrian's shows at local retirement communities and other volunteer works. Adrian makes the music; I turn that into something that can . For Adrian and Soulful Echoes, I've served as videographer, video editor, music editor, and CD maker. For some, these are simple tasks. For Adrian, he found my work invaluable. Adrian has been hard at work creating his latest CD, "The First Peace." For Adrian and Soulful Echoes, I've built an Indiegogo campaign along with several videos showcasing his work. And if those videos happen to drive traffic to his Indiegogo campaign, so much the better! Currently, I am designing the CD album and coordinating duplication and printing of that CD.
