• I was involved in the construction of the Euston Biogas Plant, a Biomethane to Grid Anaerobic Digestion project located on the Euston Estate in Suffolk, UK. Once operating to full capacity, the plant will generate 10 million cubic meters of biogas, the electrical equivalent of powering over 5,000 UK homes. • Managed all stages of the civil works project including setting out earthworks, the installation of drainage and services, construction of reinforced concrete slabs bases and associated works using desk based project engineering skills and practical skills on site. • Ensuring that the project is delivered on time and to budget using a mix of both desk-based and practical skills. • Completing daily KPIs to keep line manager up-to-date on progress and monitor cost control. • Obtained quotations from suppliers; raise order requisitions; liaise with the buyer and Contracts Manager to ensure procurement is completed to programme and budget. • Organised and sequenced delivery of equipment to site in accordance with programme. • Organised and implemented health and safety (H&S) documentation and systems prior to work commencing on site; carry out H&S inductions on site. • Organised and overseen site works by coordinating the activities of colleagues and external parties to enable installation work to be carried out on site. • Liaised with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective working relationships are developed and maintained throughout the project. • Reviewed the project programmes; provided project planner with information required to update programmes. • Reported to project teams on progress, risks and issues; ensuring all parties are well informed. • Responsible for conducting concrete tests for workability and strength, filing and updating drawings.
