Throughout my run as leader of Ryerson Toastmasters, Sami was an essential part of our massive success. Where he had the unique position of occupying two different VP roles in our organization: VP Membership & VP Corporate Relations. In the VP Membership role, Sami was a massive driver of our 300% increase in membership in the academic year. As he brought on board every single new member we received, and automated key elements of the membership process to better allocate our time to unique requests. Meanwhile, as VP Corporate Relations, Sami successfully negotiated crucial funding for our initiatives, such as for a massive public speaking symposium we hosted with two other universities. This comes in addition to displaying strong dedication by attending most of our club events and meetings, despite having resided in a completely different time zone the entire year. Overall, Sami displays reliability, initiative and an effective ability to work with others, making him a tremendous teammate fit for any organization.
