In 2011 I was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of the Donner Summit Public Utility District. I was elected in 2012 and again in 2016 and 2020 and I served as the Vice President of the Board. In 2016-2018 I worked with the District staff and the California State Water Resources Control Board to successfully advocate for a reduced interest rate on an over $18 million wastewater treatment plan loan, saving millions for the ratepayers of the District while continuing to provide high quality drinking water and treated wastewater for the region.
