I worked with Jack on a student project during Fall 2021. Jack is a very competent and hard-working designer who was a pleasure to work with in the time that I did. His technical skills and knowledge allowed him to work closely with the team's programmers and communicate strongly and effectively across disciplines. While working with him, Jack was able to quickly and effectively identify problems with my code or implementation and provide me suggestions in my work on how I could improve my work to make more effective or efficient systems. Jack often surprised me in his ability to parse and optimize the project's systems and codebase, working with me to find solutions to just about any problem I ran into in my time on the project. Alongside technical skills, Jack has a keen eye for level design that shined through during my time with him. Jack was able to effectively create levels with the tools provided that provided players with engaging challenges and decisions that met very positive reception with players and playtesters. I believe any team looking for a technically-skilled designer would have their needs well met by Jack, and I would strongly recommend him for any such role.

I had a great time working with Jack on our student project. He was reliable and hard working, always pulling his weight and showing up to meetings. During group brainstorming sessions he always had great ideas, and I think our game turned out as fun as it did in so small part due to his contribution.
