Through this internship, I used algorithms on Google Earth Engine with satellite data to track harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Chesapeake Bay. This research experience has allowed me to learn how to code in JavaScript and further develop my communication skills.I presented my research from this project at two scientific conferences (Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation conference of 2019 and the Ocean Sciences Meeting in 2020) and one statewide conference (the Florida Undergraduate Research Association conference in 2020).
