This MRP data is the foundation that the production planning, procurement, and inventory functions are built on to achieve production goals and on-time shipment. As a SAP Key User, I provide support and testing for the MM, QM, CS and SD modules for our office location. I also create reporting and queries as required. As the department representative to our company wide quality initiative process that monitors and addresses quality issues and identifies continuous improvement opportunities, I act in a lead role to delegate assigned cases to the appropriate team members of my department for processing and assist when needed. I also provide required documentation and status reporting to the departmental vice-president. 2000-2007 As part of the Engineering Services department I was the mechanical side of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process team. Using Autodesk Inventor software and the Autodesk Vault document management program I maintained the mechanical manufacturing documents for engineering changes and created documentation for new instruments. I quickly worked my way into the engineering department with my CAD skills to become a mechanical designer. Using Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, my early projects included fixtures and assembly jigs. As our company and services grew to include custom automated assembly machines so did my role in our small engineering department. Given a concept, parameters and a budget I was tasked with designing, producing manufacturing prints, ordering purchased components, working with electrical/PLC/programmer sub-contractors, working with our shop foreman to produce machined parts and working alongside the lead assembler to guide the build and troubleshooting of the machine. I worked closely with the engineer manager to execute the concept and ensure we maintained budgets and timelines. Most of the projects I worked on were automotive component assembly machines in the $60,000 to $100,000 price range. Features of these machines included pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, punching dies, PLC’s and vibratory feeders. One of the more unique projects, and our largest project which would require the entire team involved a walking beam assembly machine. Show less
