Maats Used Equipment is the used construction equipment division of Maats Pipeline Professionals. In 2019, I was assigned with developing this division from scratch by deploying my experience in the industry and utilising my network of European suppliers and global buyers. With Maats being OEM Liebherr Partner, it was a strategic and conscious decision to stay close to the Liebherr product range as far as general construction equipment is concerned. These days, Maats Used Equipment is recognised as reseller of late model low houred Liebherr machines such as: • Wheeled loaders; • Bulldozers; • Material handlers; • Excavators and; • Tracked loaders. My personal fondness of and interest in single drum rollers has also been harnassed and as a result, Maats Used Equipment has become a respected and established global supplier of rollers and compactors manufactured by: • Dynapac; • Hamm-Wirtgen; • Bomag and; • Ammann. At Maats Used Equipment, I am responsible for all aspects involving buying and selling equipment: • Locating suitable machines in Europe; • Purchasing machine for stock; • Sourcing equipment for and on behalf of our customer, ie brokering; • Inspecting machines at our suppliers; • Logistics; • Overseeing repairs on and preparation of machines; • Advertising; • Sales of equipment; • Social media and; • Maintaining and further developing our own “Maats Used Equipment” label.
