Using customized interviews with dozens of advertisers Sales Insights conducted perceptual studies for radio clusters to examine their local sales images as compared to other competitors in the market. Results revealed how specific stations and their respective sales teams were perceived by the advertising community. We examined a variety of attributes such as value for price paid, degree to which a station was willing to concede more than necessary (negotiating skills), audience perceptions that might be hindering the sales process, which stations or clusters had the best overall reputation for sales practices, etc. Recommendations were then made to shore up known strengths and strategies were designed to overcome weaknesses real and perceived.
