my role of Data Manager is within the Data Qualty Assurance team. I lead and manage a team who focus on assessing and improving the quality of nationally submitted public health data. I am responsible for the quality assurance of national data including organising and managing national audits on both clinical coding and terminology, developing work plans in consultation with data providers; advising and developing national data standards and definitions to ensure data integrity and consistency across NHSScotland and the UK.I am also responsible for the management of data flows and processing of national cancer audit data sets that feed the corporate databases ensuring the datasets are accurate and fit for purpose.
