Barbara is a gem. She’s creative, thorough and independent. I had asked her to write a book for Childhaven’s major donors that would demonstrate the daily practices of our program. Thanks to Barbara’s determination and passion, she immersed herself in every aspect of our program. She interviewed 16 members of our staff—comprising four different professional roles—across our three branches and established the rapport to evoke detailed stories. The result: an engaging book that far exceeded my expectations. She created a composite character and her mother and shows their journey through our program, which gives donors a deeper understanding of how their funds stop the cycle of abuse within a family and provide young children with coping mechanisms to survive abuse or neglect.

Barbara’s work on my website was invaluable. She was able to take my original text which was mundane, at best, and change it so that it was pithy and actually reflected my personality. Thorough and professional, she approached my project with a critical eye and went above and beyond by analyzing the navigation of my website to make sure it was intuitive. Barbara is passionate and dedicated and a true delight to work with. She was a value-add to me and I am confident she would be an asset to any organization.
