IS Intern
-
Oct 2015 - Apr 2017
I work as the IS Intern for the American Academy of Neurology, and it currently houses around 150 employees. My job is basically to assist the Helpdesk with various issues and problems that people have with your computers, laptops, and devices, as well as solving minor network issues and various other duties here at work.During my time here, I retired old laptops that people had, wiped them of their memory and then re-sold them back to the employees that wanted an old laptop. The company gives its employees a new computer every three years, on a cycle type of pattern and I deployed pretty much all of them to the people that received them. I updated them with the newest of Windows and system updates as well. I worked with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. Used and troubleshooted Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 for myself and most everyone in the company. I dealt with Outlook and OneDrive, as well as Sharepoint here at the American Academy of Neurology. Used the Vivantio Ticketing system to view tickets that people put in to solve a various number of issues. I also did the printer and toner inventory several times of the year to make sure we never run out of an item. Took inventory of all the devices in the AAN using the CG4 Asset Tracking System.

Key Bench Associate

2011 - Sep 2015
I worked here strictly for a job to help my way through high school and some college as well. My first job here at Twin City Hardware was pretty much all about picking weeds, cleaning out the warehouse and doing some dirty work that no one wanted to do. I did that while I was in high school, during the school year. When summer came, I worked in the key bench where I worked for the majority of my time there. On the key bench, I did a bunch of different jobs, I cut keys and pinned up cylinders that go into locks that serves several different major companies such as Best Buy and Target and several others. Towards the end of my time there, I mainly cut keys for Best Buy and I pretty much did that for the whole day. At the end of the day, I needed to bag each key and then ship them out, thus where I worked with the UPS Shipping system and such.
