Sarah Baca
I had the pleasure of working with Cathy when we were both contractor scrum masters, then when she was my contractor and I was the manager of scrum masters in Specialty, then we were peer transformation leaders for our domains. Cathy was always the person I could go to if I needed help, whether than help was practical, emotional, or logistical. We led several initiatives together. One was an Agile Maturity Assessment that allowed us to focus on the areas that needed the most help. Another was a cross-functional team of Agilists working to determine organizational priorities with the support of our leaders. She was my support through multiple re-orgs, when I lost over half of my team and had to completely pivot my strategy. If you are looking for a selfless, hard-working, out-spoken, courageous Agile leader, I couldn't recommend Cathy highly enough. She will challenge you to be a better version of yourself, just like she did me and the many scrum masters when she served as their leader.
