Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina Area A plastic Injection molding company, 24/7 multi-location. 200+ employees HR had been neglected. I increased the level of expectation from administrative support to strategic partner and just plain "helpful" department. Developed a trusted partnership with the Director of Manufacturing. Conducted the first employee survey resulting in improved communication.

I held the top Plant Human Resource position at this international manufacturing company. • The business planning was done in silos. I organized and facilitated the first management goal sharing session with the operations team. • Policies and procedures did not reflect how they were currently being administered or did not fit the strategic direction of the company. I reviewed and updated policies and procedures in alignment with current strategy. • 12 hour shift production employees had access to old traditional vending options that were not healthy or appealing. Updated breakroom and installed an Open Market style of vending creating more, healthier options for our hard working employees. I demonstrated I cared about their break room conditions and trusted them with Open Concept. • Previous HR had installed ADP Workforce Now HR system but had not been fully implemented. I fully implemented across the company including manager and employee self service. Utilizing the system allowed for efficiencies and access to data analyzing compensation, performance and labor metrics, etc • HR was the only person who designed the Communications Meetings. I realized the importance of conveying a strategic message to the whole company four times a year. I created a management team to determine the message and delivery. We created skits and game show themes along with structured participatory activities. Show less

Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina Area I worked part-time keeping up my HR skills and getting my HR mojo back, when my youngest started school. By demonstrating competence, I built confidence with the owners and was able to streamline HR processes, provide better commission reporting and implementing assessments for recruiting salespeople. The fun part was working with the owner’s daughter, Mandy. She is young and enthusiastic and I was able to coach her on several organization issues.
