Bio
Alexander S. Levine
Richard or 林老师, as I know him best, is a phenomenal Mandarin language teacher. His students always enjoy their Chinese language learning, even when their studies seem difficult or challenging. His dedication to teaching and leadership goes well beyond the classroom, as he actively engages students in activities central to the study abroad experience--on weekend excursions outside Beijing, Richard ensured that students were safe and making the most of their trips, learning about local culture and employing their hard earned Chinese language skills. Richard is a great colleague and any team would be lucky to have him!

I met Mr. Lin when we were studying for our Master's degree in International Chinese Language Education at the Hong Kong University of Education, and we are both peers and friends. There are three key phrases can describe Mr. Lin, he is an eductor has strong ability in teaching and research, a global perspective, and a wealth of experience. Mr. Lin has strong leadership and organizational skills. During our studied in Hong Kong, he assisted peers in the classroom, he was given many leadership works by our professors to coordinate class and academic affairs. After graduating, he also served as a Lead Instructor in CET program, in charge of helping to mentor and train teachers in the program. Mr. Lin is also an experienced educator with strong research skills. I was fortunate to be able to present a paper on teaching Chinese using Google Tour Creator with him at the International Conference on Chinese Language Teaching Materials Design held by the University of Hong Kong in 2020. More than that, he also wrote an article about his experience with the immersion program at Minnetonka High School in the United States, which was shared in The World of Chinese Language, a very influential magazine for teaching Chinese in Taiwan. I highly recommend Mr. Lin not only because of his charismatic leadership and enthusiasm for teaching, but also because he is an educator with a strong sense of global perspective and global citizenship. In the CET program, he has taught Chinese to diplomatic officers in Beijing, teaching the topics with them the current social and world issues, and I deeply admire his knowledge and insight into global and social issues. I am confident that his talents and experience in teaching will enable him to perform many tasks as an educator, leader, and a researcher. And I'm sure he can bring many benefits to your school or institute.
