Maia is a brilliant, tenacious, skillful, articulate and forward-thinking leader. I have had the pleasure of working under her management for almost three years at the Comparative Education Service (CES). At her time at CES, Maia spearheaded a number of innovative projects, strengthened our relationship with key governmental stakeholders and peer-organizations, streamlined a number of processes for increased optimization, and helped increase CES’ visibility in the credential assessment industry. In all her endeavours, Maia’s communication abilities deserve special mention as one of her many admirable skills. Her compassionate, approachable demeanor, yet confident leadership and ability to command a room has earned her respect from peers and clients alike. She has truly reignited the importance of communications at different capacities within our organization. Besides expertly filling her role as Manager, Maia cared deeply about the success and personal wellbeing of each of her team members. She encouraged open communication, feedback and discussion and made each and every one of her employees feel valued, supported and trusted. It is without a doubt that much of the continued success of our organization is owed to her. As a young professional, I feel incredibly humbled to have worked with Maia. Her guidance, support, care, and mentorship has been invaluable to me both in my personal and professional development. She inspires confidence in those around her. Maia would be an invaluable asset for any organization and earns my highest recommendation.

I have known Maia for almost three years since she became the Manager of CES. She has been an inspiring leader, a passionate colleague, and a genuine friend. Her vision for CES has led us through the best years and will have a continuous influence on the value, mission, and vision of CES. As a leader, her passion for education, in particular the mobility of students, the recognition of internationally obtained credentials, and the transition of internationally trained professionals into the Canadian labour market, has expanded my perspective on international credential evaluation. As a colleague, her openness to various ideas fostered a collaborative work environment. As a friend, her support and encouragement have always motivated me to become a better version of myself. I have always commended Maia on her superb communication skills, both verbally and in writing. She is precise, compassionate, and succinct in getting her ideas across. More important, her care, accountability, and energy are always instilled in her speeches and her writing. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to know her and to become her colleague and friend. I am confident that she will be the shining star in every adventure she takes.
