While searching for a new role after unfortunately being made redundant due to Covid, the time has allowed me the opportunity to work on a little side project that had been bubbling away in my mind for a few years. I have launched a small (but expanding) t-shirt range inspired by great New Zealand sporting moments, captured in pixel art (i.e. basically Super Nintendo graphics) called Pixel Tees, www.pixeltees.co.nz. Pretty niche I know! After arriving back in New Zealand after 10 years living in London, I took on the exciting opportunity to transfer my international experience to the New Zealand market. I managed all marketing activities to support the business on its growth journey to become one of New Zealand’s largest specialist recruitment companies. Key achievements include: • End-to-end delivery of the 2019 salary survey and industry trends guide campaign, generating 130 client leads. • End-to-end delivery of targeted LinkedIn Sponsored Content campaigns across seven sectors, generating 335 client and candidate leads. • Set up targeted client emails that were uploaded as templates to our CRM, for consultants to send to their target audiences to generate conversations and meetings. At this executive recruitment firm, I relished the opportunity to put my strategic marketing skills to the test. This was successfully repeated in 2018. • Increased responses to NPS surveys by 9% and feedback-related comments by 23%. • Refreshed strategic position and how the business proposition is communicated to the market based on research feedback and internal workshops. • Created and implemented automated online workflows to improve client and candidate loyalty. • Increased website traffic by 26% and registered website contacts by 25%. • Increased awareness of executive search service by 10%, and advocacy of interim and executive search service by 7%. • Member of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) team. My love for sports drew me to this role. I was fascinated by the idea of sitting on the outside of the sports, media and entertainment industry looking in to see how it was run. Here I undertook the challenge of pulling the brand perception of the business up from a UK mid-tier recruitment company to a global executive search firm. Key achievements include: • Successfully led and implemented two brand refreshes to bring SRI’s brand and collateral in-line with market reputation. • Created the marketing strategy and delivered an integrated marketing plan that contributed to a 115% increase in NFI and the opening of five international offices in four years. • Increased the open rates of lead generating emails by 87% (23% to 43%), with click to open rates increasing 39% (23% to 32%). • Increased candidate email newsletter subscribers by 22%, achieving open rates of 30% and click to open rates of 20%. • Increased website traffic by 7%.
