As Investment Analyst I was responsible for performance management, on a macro and micro scale, of new and existing investments . This included producing complex financial models, financial analysis and forecasts, and performing analysis on any existing and proposed leasing and developments. I was a key member of the team with regards any ad hoc requests from senior management in various areas of the Bank and external parties, as I have a strong problem solving ability coupled with a logical and detail-focused mind to ensure the request is dealt with appropriately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Involved in the business management of the UK loan book; heavily involved in the NAMA split and preparatory work for the restructuring plan submitted to the EU. - Resource to the business to provide loan analysis to third parties (rating agencies, consultants, auditors etc.) and senior management. - Provided regulatory submissions on large exposures, sectoral breakdown, geographical exposures, aged arrears, impaired and watch cases. - Worked with the lending teams to ensure understanding around asset quality reporting requirements and clarity of assumptions used in the cashflows. Challenged assumptions and got behind a deal in order to fully understand the prevailing risks/issues. - Managed the regulatory and statutory reporting of the UK arrears, increasing the accuracy and efficiency. - Monitored, analysed and reported on key risk sectors and the Bank’s exposure to each. - Implemented various procedures and reporting methods in all areas of the Risk team. - Drove strategic initiatives to develop, enhance and streamline the reporting processes.
