I worked as a strategy and policy intern with AT&T's FirstNet program. A communications network dedicated solely to first responders and is a public-private partnership with AT&T and the federal government. As an intern, I worked on communications for various FirstNet projects ranging from drafting messages regarding grant opportunities available to FirstNet users on FirstNet.com to constructing letters for first responders to present when responding to repairing communications in disaster areas. I also worked on projects regarding FirstNet's tribal customers and relations. I interacted with data for specific regions where there were high volumes of tribal customers and relayed that data to sales solutions representatives who worked with the tribes in the area to assist them in their work. With the release of Representative Haaland's DIGITAl reservations during my time at FirstNet, I and other interns performed an analysis of the bill and presented our findings to AT&T's policy teams highlighting where the bill may be of interest to FirstNet.

I, along with other Native American students, worked to establish an Indigenous mural at the University of Missouri. We created an online campaign to search for Native American artists throughout the country. We eventually found our artist, Yatika Starr Fields and worked on funding our project. We reached out to departments and organizations all throughout the University of Missouri to fund our mural and raised over $20,000 to create our project.
