  Galina Kurlat was born in Moscow in 1981 and emigrated to the United States in 1989. She received her Bachelor of Media Arts from New York’s Pratt Institute in 2005 and currently lives and works in Houston, TX. Her work has been included in a number of public and private collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Harry Ransom Center, Austin, TX.
