  STACK is a fresh take on personal finance; it’s a fee-free, mobile-first banking alternative built on Mastercard’s prepaid rails. As CTO leading up to our public launch in August 2018, I hired and trained a team of 12 engineers, both mobile and backend, to roll out our product to Canadian audiences. Together, we've built a secure, scalable infrastructure for financial transactions, deployed to AWS, and integrated across 3rd-party payment processors, such as I2C, Visa Debit and Interac, and performing KYC and AML/fraud checks. With value-added services such as automatic offer/discount integration, financial advice powered by Machine Learning, and automatic goal savings STACK provides our customers with an all-inclusive account. The team also built direct peer-2-peer transfers, payroll deposits, 2-factor authentication (2FA), and HCE payments on Android enabling Tap-To-Pay. In addition to ensuring product launch schedules, I managed performance reviews, inter-department communication, feature timelines, weekly all-hands meetings, and did onboarding for new hires throughout the company.
