Teresa Nicola is a life force! I have attended her classes and hired her to lead a group in a private dance class. All engagements have been not only a total blast but also very introspective and rich in their meaning. Any time spent with Teresa Nicola is nothing short of magical!

I’m devoted to helping women feel more alive, healthy, and connected. I created Untame (body movement) and a monthly Goddess Gathering, because I believe music, movement, and gathering are potent medicine that nourish feminine vitality. I provide an outlet for self-expression and connection (on a physical, emotional, social and spiritual level). I create experiences for people to feel at home with themselves and others.Untame is a fun and soulful 60 min all-body workout designed to help women reclaim their zest, strength, and sensuality. Class incorporates dance (without the fancy footwork), sensual movement, and deep stretching — space to go wild and deeply relax. Movement improves mobility and strength, promotes pelvic health, and awakens energy. The New Moon Goddess Gathering is a monthly event for women who value heart-to-heart connection and channeling the wild feminine. When we come together to support each other on our journeys, we are uplifted, affirmed, and nurtured.

I first came to yoga as a retreat from life’s stressors - at the time, those were college, waiting tables and the big city life of Chicago. Crunch Gym’s Sunday evening candlelit yoga class, became my sanctuary and provided stability to my energetic, active lifestyle. After graduating college, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, and continued practicing yoga at the 24hr Fitness and later the YMCA. In 2007 Lululemon, put out a challenge: visit 15 different yoga studios in Southern California, and earn a free tank top! It might not have been much, but it was enough of an incentive to motivate this adventuresome yogi. So I ventured to 15 studios within Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, Brentwood and Santa Monica, and not only earned a free tank, but I experienced all different forms of yoga: Kundalini, Bikram, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Veda, Iyengar, and Anusara. From Chicago to LA to Portland, my life has always been about exploration and adventure. Movement and music have always been and will always be my favorite forms of medicine. I have a strong desire to share a feminine approach to yoga, and help people connect with their power and pleasure.

Managing customer relations at Elgin Toyota taught me how analyzing data impacts results. I became an objective observer who succeeded at conveying valuable insight to upper management. I positively interact with customers in a manner that allowed them to comfortably reflect on their Toyota purchasing experience, monitored customer service programs and data collection, advised management on areas for company growth, crafted action plans, offered constructive feedback to sales teams motivating change, and achieved record high customer satisfaction scores.

This was the very first business I started on my own (despite the “perfume” I made and sold when I was 7 years old), and it was the beginning of acquiring skill sets necessary for successful entrepreneurship. I designed, managed production (sourced venders nationally and internationally, hired seamstresses, monitored quality control), and marketed and sold a product called Earring Catchers (a hanging earring organizer that turns earring collections from tangled, lost and forgotten, into organized and easy to find).
