Senior Store Sign Artist
-
Nov 2004 - Present
I create informative, artful and engaging signage throughout the store from large chalkboards for endcap displays to individual price signs for each product - over 3000 SKUs! - and everything in between. I use a large variety of materials and techniques, always trying to find fresh & interesting ways to communicate with our customers. As the Senior Sign Artist at my store, I manage a never-ending list of projects which vary widely in scope and complexity. My mission is to continually improve efficiency in process, technique and organization to allow for faster and better quality sign work at all levels. I interface directly with every department in the store, balancing the needs of each department against store priorities. In addition, I am responsible for training new sign artists, delegating work appropriately and maintaining schedules and task lists.

As an Independent Consultant, I sold high quality kitchen tools primarily through in-home demonstrations. I showed people quick and easy preparations for everyday meals and exciting ideas for entertaining. My primary objective was to inspire people to spend more time cooking at home and enjoying meals with their families and friends. I believe in the foundational value of family meals and the deep connections that are forged when people share food together.
