Betty Ko
I was a graphic designer/art director at Jovenville for about 10 years, and Jillian was one of my project managers. It's no easy feat being a PM for a design agency when you don't have design experience yourself, especially at a smaller ambitious agency where everyone is expected to take on more responsibilities due to understaffing. I was always impressed with Jillian's ability to quickly learn our internal processes, manage our varied roster of clients from all industries, and work with the designers and interns to get things done on time with often hectic, overlapping deadlines. Throughout all of it, Jillian always managed to remain calm and controlled, understanding to both designers and clients, and worked hard to make sure things were done on time to satisfy clients while simultaneously being realistic about scheduling & workload, so as not to overwhelm the design team. Our clients loved her and she was always able to proactively resolve any potential conflicts easily and manage client expectations. On top of that, Jillian was always such a positive presence in the office and fun to be around! Any company or client would be lucky to have her in their corner, and I hope we get to work together again in the future!
