I had the pleasure of working with Richard over more than ten years. In the later years, he acted as Head of ICT during a period of radical change. He managed the function with great skill and was always supportive to his team, colleagues and contractors. He was never afraid to lend his detailed technical capabilities to tackle a range of issues and support new development. I wish Richard all the very best in his future ventures and will miss his humour and common sense approach.
