I became interested in game design in early 2009 after learning about Microsoft's XNA platform. I have released two titles on the Xbox Indie Marketplace which combined have sold over 25 000 copies worldwide. I have ported the more successful of the two, The Most Addicting Sheep Game, to Windows Phone where it was chosen as top app in the South African Microsoft Windows Phone Application Development competition. I have since ported it to iOS where is continues to make daily sales. While not a full time occupation, game design is a great hobby that appeals to both the logical and creative aspects of mathematics and musical theatre. I have many many more ideas and am currently working on a series of co-op mobile puzzle games using Unity. I have worked on an ad hoc basis on a number of professional musical theatre productions. For the award winning theatre company KickstArt, I have written the original scores for Table Manners, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan. I was the musical director and on stage pianist for Snoopy and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and I have worked as rehearsal pianist and assistant musical director on Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Sweeney Todd, Shrek, Aladdin and Pieter Toerien's touring productions of Cabaret and Little Shop of Horrors. I left the company to pursue further mathematical studies but continued to undertake contract work. I rejoined as a full time employee near the end of 2008 for four months before deciding to focus on my Masters. I continued to contract to TNS for the next two years whilst completing my PhD. A career highlight was playing the Emcee in Peter Mitchell's highly acclaimed Cabaret - precious little beats singing from a revolving grand piano on a packed opening night.
