Mary's versatility is what sets her apart from her peers. She is able to convey the most complicated of messages in simple form, is willing to dig in to understand difficult policies and coordinate messaging around them, and manage teams (both directly and matrixed) to get the best results. In my time working with Mary, she was an amazing colleague. I never left a conversation with her without learning something new, being challenged to think smarter, and truly enjoying our collaboration.

During our time together at Stand for Children, I always looked forward to times I could work with Mary. Her dedication coupled with her strong communications and marketing expertise and ability to think strategically about all aspects of the work made her as close to perfect as a hiring manager as possible (and I really don't say that lightly!). Mary was incredibly thoughtful when partnering with me to build her direct team as well as when she was lending her expertise and consulting other hires throughout our network. And beyond being someone who is incredibly good at her job, she was always really great to work with; I look forward to hopefully getting to work with her again someday!
