Global Test Manager

Jan 2004 - Nov 2005
• At Munich Reinsurance, lead test teams in both Princeton and Munich, Germany of up to thirty five testers based in both Princeton and Munich. Reported to the client test manager, based in Munich. • Worked in multiple releases of the project, including the pilot release for the customer base, the global release (Phase I), which was based in Munich, and the planning of the release for American Reinsurance (Phase II), which was based in Princeton. The project not only had international release sites but also had multinational teams, based in Europe and US. One of it’s main considerations was to integrate the US subsidiary to the parent company in Munich. • A key challenge of the project was that the new SAP module FS-RI (Financial Services – Reinsurance), was developed during the project. The new module had to be fully integrated with the existing SAP functionality. The functionality tested included: • Reinsurance contracts • Reinstatements • Premiums • Claims and Losses • Testing of insurance policies being re-insured, such as Fixed, Term, Variable and Annuity Life Insurance policies. • Led the testing in Princeton during the Pilot release, which brought in the customer base and their financial records into the FS-RI module including the functional, integration and UAT testing. Was also involved with the coordination of the pilot’s release management. • For the global release (Phase I) of the project: • Carried out the test planning and hiring the resources required. • Led the functional testing, with teams based in both Munich and Princeton. Traveled frequently between Princeton and Munich to coordinate with senior management in Munich and also to supervise the test teams. • Carried out defect coordination. • Planned and led the UAT testing. This was conducted solely in Munich and was based in Munich during this time. • Planned and led the regression testing, lasting three rounds, in both Princeton and Munich. Show less
