I count on Michael for more than just the general feedback as my direct supervisor. I lean on him to provide solid career advice, life tips, perspectives on privacy and client service, and look forward to our regular check-ins perhaps more than most people want to talk with their boss! His vast privacy experience and expertise affords me a wealth of knowledge and a fast track to the "right" answer. But more importantly and impactfully, I feel fortunate to work with Michael because he never loses sight of the fact that we're all human, working in a high-stress, fast-paced, ever-changing industry. Connecting on a human level, rather than on a business level is refreshing, and not as easy (or common!) as Michael makes it look.

I worked on several data protection engagements led by Michael. He was able to immediately win the trust of clients with his judicious method of interaction. He had the temperament and foresight to deliver on client expectations while preventing miscommunication or misalignment and I was always confident in the direction of our engagements with Michael's guidance.
