My responsibilities and job requirements varied each day. While the main objective of the business is Christmas trees, they have other responsibilities as well. My responsibilities as a laborer included maintaining the landscape of all their vacation rental cabins and property, including mowing and weed eating once a week, working in the tree field doing whatever it was that needed to do to improve the quality of the tree, working at Home Depots in Charlotte during harvest, and many more. • Referee/Umpire
      • Dec 2010 - Feb 2016

I have worked as an umpire and referee since I was in high school. I have always had a great passion for sports, so this was a job that I really enjoyed. The two sports I was responsible for were basketball and baseball/softball. My responsibilities as a referee are just as every other referee you can think of, but because of the age of the participants, level of competition, and the pressure of parents in the stands, was sometimes harder than imagined. This job required me to be calm and laid back, reliable and careful, loving and sociable with the younger players who look up to you, and a sense of those around you and ALL the rules associated with the sport.

    • Hospitality
      • Apr 2012 - Sep 2013

Hospitality for club members and guests at the Pro Shop. Worked outside in the "barn" where the carts were located and stored. The best way to describe the title of my job would be a "cart boy." My responsibilities included cleaning and washing of each cart returning from play, cleaning of the members clubs, picking up the balls on the driving range, fixing whatever it was on the course that needed to be taken care of, taking out trash in and around the Pro Shop, and a few more.
