Conduct face to face meetings with the customer and other companies daily and weekly in regards to production progress. Conduct daily face to face interactions with sailors to train them on proper installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and alignment procedures. Participate in the installation and planning phase of shipboard equipment. Analyze equipment failures to determine root causes in order to then recommend and implement corrective actions. Perform backplane and chassis wiring modifications as well as mechanical modifications to all SPY and FCS hardware. Prepare and submit reports of equipment discrepancies and possible solutions. Provide guidance and training to Navy technicians on all facets of the SPY radar. Assist in developing and implementing preventative and corrective maintenance procedures and actively keep performance and maintenance records on equipment. Consolidated, organized and updated all Raytheon SPY-1 A, B, B(V), D and D(V) and FCS drawings, parts list, schematics and testing requirements. Follows all OSHA standards, shipyard requirements, and US Navy requirements while on location. Daily identify hazards that can cause problems to personnel or equipment in shipyard and facility.
