Music Director
-
Jan 2007 - Aug 2010
I was a leader of a core group of volunteers instrumental in taking Jackson Hole Community Radio from the idea phase to reality. In advance of the station’s debut broadcast in April of 2008, I created the music director position to strengthen KHOL’s mission to educate and to entertain the community. My specific focus was to ensure the inflow of new music to the station, to educate the volunteer DJs on that music, and to act as the liaison between the radio station and the music industry. In doing so I was able to successfully put KHOL on the map as the premiere source of independent music programming in Western Wyoming.Throughout my time at KHOL, I managed and mentored 40 volunteer DJs and a team of 8 volunteer record reviewers. As a leader at the station, I participated in community outreach and fundraising activities to ensure the growth of the station. To this day, KHOL continues to thrive and serve the community of Jackson Hole with music and local news.
