I developed scripts, using VBA, in Excel to speed up recording customer portfolio allocations and reallocations. At the time, one of the large money managers that the company's clients were invested in filed for bankruptcy, so we had a backlog of thousands of requests to re-allocate portfolios. My program dramatically decreased the time it took to change and record the changes for each client. After just a few weeks, we resolved the backlog and were pressing the representatives to send as many as they could because we were so productive. And, even though my internship has finished, my boss still uses the spreadsheet I developed because of how much it increased his productivity! Show less
