MANUFACTURING • Work with purchasing to locate potential vendors. • Plan and document set-up and test procedures for new products in production working from product test specifications to meet the voice of customer. • Create pert charts for development projects to determine the critical paths. • Wire electrical panels from schematics, startup and debug production equipment. • Support manufacturing in troubleshooting production problems, determine root causes, repair or work with maintenance, quality or design engineering. • Work with quality department to validate test procedures and equipment to ensure that tested parts which are out of specification will be detected. • Use lathe and milling machines to machine or modify machine components if and when need arises. CONTROL • Work with Quality using software such as MATLAB to analyze the trending of collected data. • Active member of Six Sigma projects to define potential areas of improvement and then work with team to improve the process Sigma numbers. • Active member of safety, 5S and JSA committees and constantly look for ways to improve work practices to meet OSHA standards and other industrial requirements.
