I teach a variety of classes at the school in French (from Year 7 to GCSE) and Spanish (from Year 7 to A-Level). • Jun 2020 - Aug 2020

Following my training placement at Harrogate Grammar School, I was employed by the school to support the MFL department’s increased workload in light of the COVID-19 pandemic which had forced schools to completely close for the large majority of the term. My main role was supporting the school’s large cohort of Year 10 students with 1:1 intervention via online conversation classes in MFL. I planned and delivered bespoke classes for Year 10 pupils whilst continuing to co-manage the remote learning provision for Years 7 and 9 French during this time. I also supported colleagues in the department during particularly busy periods of the school closures. Show less

Working alongside the teaching staff, I supported lessons and activities in English language and grammar classes but also in other areas of the curriculum taught in English, such as History, Geography, Music and Natural Science, as required. I coordinated workshops on British culture; my most notable was a series of a workshops for all students learning about Christmas in the UK via the medium of Christmas songs and carols.
