Identifying agency information needs and ensuring that the agency’s information management system meets those needs efficiently and cost-effectively. 2. Performing fault isolation and repairs in the computing environment independently or in consultation with vendor or other technical personnel in order to diagnose and correct system problems. 3. Setting up and administering security for the networks, including regularly scheduled backups of the servers. 4. Setting up and administering users and email accounts. 5. Setting up and administering LAN and WAN integration, video conferencing, and phone system. 6. Researching, recommending, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and networks in order to establish and maintain the agency information systems. 7. Administering the LAN/WAN environment includes multiple network operating systems 8. Participating in the development of the agency’s data processing plan and help coordinate plans and activities with other agency personnel. 9. Assisting with the training of new staff in the use of agency hardware and software.
