I was fortunate to bring Joey on board as a contractor at the AZ Republic/Republic Media to port over a Ruby on Rails app to Python/Django. When he came on board, he took the reins and never looked back. He was very instrumental in getting our stodgy old client/server UNIX development team to look at and embrace new-to-us web technologies. His knowledge on the subjects of Python, Django, Jenkins, TDD, etc are 2nd to none and he has the ability and patience to teach those of us who were not familiar with them. Joey has the infectious positive and fun attitude that made working with him fun. It seemed that each day he brought something new to the team, be it Continuous Integration (CI), Test Driven Development (TDD), automated documentation, Agile, etc. If the opportunity ever presented itself again, I would not hesitate to bring Joey on board!

I had the pleasure of working with Joey for almost 4 years at SMP Communications Corp. and Kaleidoscope Network, LLC. In that time he demonstrated excellent programming and analytical skills which were essential to address the constantly evolving client’s business requirements. During the course of his employment, Joey proved himself to be a dependable employee; a team player and a hard worker, with solid problem solving and technical skills. I strongly recommend Joey for any position where you need technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work under extreme pressure.
