In this position I, supported by an excellent team, was responsible for the complex national/provincial membership structure of Golf Canada. With over 1400 member facilities and 300,000 individual golfers, the annual membership dues are shared between the applicable provincial association and Golf Canada. Membership had traditionally been tied to members of golf clubs but had the opportunity to reach the much larger green fee player population. As part of the senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, I worked on Strategic Planning both for Golf Canada and with the provincial associations, was responsible for provincial/national relationships and objectives, as well as the development, maintenance and operations of the Golf Canada Score Centre. Specific achievements included: Sourcing and providing enhanced membership benefits Revising the structure to be more accessible to the broader audience of golfers and golf facilities Developing a joint national/provincial strategic plan Introducing a comprehensive customer service structure for both facilities and golfers During the same time Heritage Services included: Olympic Exhibit incorporating Canada's unique golf story at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Multiple annual induction ceremonies for the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame honoured members Implementing a one of a kind interactive map on the game in Canada Show less
