Navy SH-60F/HH-60H helicopter pilot through two unbelievable hot summers in the Persian Gulf with HS-6 (Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron) aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN72), including Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch (Iraq) & Restore Hope (the events popularized by the book/movie "BlackHawk Down" in Somalia). Also served as an Instructor Pilot in HS10, the SH60F/HH-60H Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS, aka RAG or Replacement Air Group) training new Naval Aviators and retraining skilled Fleet Aviators in the intricacies of the Seahawk helicopter. Carried out numerous Leadership positions as Division Officer in several different Squadron departments with responsibility for up to 60 Navy Enlisted Personnel. Also held collateral duty positions covering Flight Training & Safety, Avionics & Weapons Systems, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Total Quality Leadership (TQL), and the Navy's Legal system. My service as a Naval Officer, Aviator and Leader of Sailors was an experience that eminently prepared me for my civilian career in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management and Line of Business Management.
