Make America Dinner Again has been immensely lucky to work with Vincent. As head of our Austin Chapter, he takes on the difficult job of building understanding among differing political views through events and community organizing. He has taken the framework we created and improved vastly on processes, improving efficiency and localizing approaches to fit his geographic area. He has shown impressive initiative, creativity, leadership, and technical savvy. On an interpersonal level, Vincent uplifts and motivates all those around him with positivity and energy. I envy the team that gets to work with him next!

Generation Citizen is a small national nonprofit that inspires civic participation by equipping middle and high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in our democracy as active citizens and community change makers. After nearly two years of volunteering as a Democracy Coach, I formally joined Generation Citizen as a Program Associate VISTA in August 2018. As part of the three-person Central Texas team, I lead a cohort for 30-40 college volunteers as they implement GC curriculum in middle and high school classrooms. Additionally, I build and optimize systems of support to greater serve our stakeholders, rally supporters and champions in the community, and promote GCs mission in the greater Austin area.

Camp Longhorn is a traditional American co-ed sleepaway summer camp for young people ages 7 to 16. I worked as a cabin counselor for 5 summers, serving multiple high-responsibility positions. I was promoted from Head Cabin Counselor to Staff Counselor in 2016, and served as Swimbay Director through 2016, 2017, 2018, and Division Head in 2018.As Swimbay Director, I served as the sole manager of daily activities on the waterfront. I often directed more than 30 counselors and 120 campers at a time, ensuring that standards of safety were exceeded. Additionally, I maintained direct communication with my supervisors and peers alike, and managed level response to unfortunate and rare crises. As Division Head, I supervised eight cabins of 2nd-4th graders, led by more than 40 counselors. My responsibilities included having daily check-ins with each Head Counselor, mentoring ‘trouble’ campers, communicating with my supervisor daily, and coaching young staff with positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.

I Live Here I Give Here is a small team dedicated to promoting philanthropy – big and small – in the broader Austin community. In this position, I worked closely with I Live Here I Give Here staff to promote and maintain relationships with Nonprofit Members across Central Texas. Responsibilities included developing and creating case studies, updating I Live Here I Give Here marketing, and stewarding member retention through phone and email.Additionally, I helped implement the first #GivingTuesday campaign in Central Texas by creating and marketing volunteer opportunities designed for students. The I Live Here I Give Here #GivingTuesday campaign eventually resulted in over 1 million Actions for Good in a 24-hour period.
