      ►Being expressly appointed by the Argentinean Ministry of Defense (MoD) for this post, I had the honor to be the first officer in the history of the Argentinean Armed Forces to deploy within the UNITED NATIONS DISENGAGEMENT OBSERVER FORCE (UNDOF). This peacekeeping operation was established in the Golan Heights by Security Council resolution 350 of 31 May 1974 to maintain the ceasefire between Israel and Syria; supervise the disengagement of Israeli and Syrian forces; and supervise the areas of separation and limitation, as provided in the May 1974 Agreement on Disengagement.✔️Advising Senior authorities of UNDOF HQ on all border crossing matters and being responsible for organizing all permissions from Israel, Syria, and Lebanon for all crossing and special papers such as exit and entry permits, travel assistance, temporary airport, and security clearances and special crossing lists.✔️Establishing a direct permanent link between UNDOF and their respective counterparts of Israel, Syria, and Lebanon, facilitating the exchange of routine and non-routine border crossing documents between all parties, as well as providing senior liaison between UNDOF, UNTSO, UNIFIL, Host Nation Liaison Offices and NGOs like ICRC.✔️Acting as the focal point of border crossing and gate crossing requests, special crossing requests, and exit-entry requests for Israel, Syria, and Lebanon.       ►As a Junior Officer, I had the opportunity to be deployed as Patrol Team Leader with military troops and police from around the world, integrated with civilian peacekeepers, to address the mandate set by the UN Security Council within the UNITED NATIONS PEACEKEEPING FORCE IN CYPRUS (UNFICYP). This peacekeeping operation was established in the Republic of Cyprus by Security Council resolution 186 (1964) to supervise the de facto ceasefire that came into effect on 16 August 1974, and maintain a buffer zone between the lines of the Cyprus National Guard and of the Turkish and Turkish Cypriot forces. ✔️In charge of a Mobile Patrol to contribute with the maintenance of the military status quo within a sector of the Buffer Zone, through constant surveillance of it, both day and night, through the establishment of Observation Posts and carrying out air, vehicle and foot patrols. ✔️Incident response, serving as regular liaison with opposing forces and civil administrations, in order to prevent a local escalation of violence. Provision of safety and security for all UNFICYP international military and civilian members, locally employed civilians and their dependents. ✔️Providing humanitarian assistance to communities in conflict such as supplies, medical evacuations and physical security.
