I've had the great pleasure to report to Harriett for more than a year. She is one of those rare managers that keeps absolutely calm in the storm, steering the team amongst any tumult that may occur. Her professional knowledge is top notch - just one of the reasons that she's a fantastic mentor! Personally, Harriett is genuinely kind and caring, always working to build the business and improve her team. I'm so appreciative of the opportunity to work with her!

My responsibilities included working with regional healthcare collaboratives across the country to identify best practices in cost and quality transparency for users including consumers; providers; purchasers; payers; and policy-makers. We drove innovation through a series of grant funded initiatives. Over the course of the project, we developed a reasonably detailed action plan for implementation of recommendations to reach 50% of the population by 2020. It is very cool. NCI is a public company (NYSE: NCI) that purchased HP3, a private clinical documentation improvement organization. I joined Navigant in that transition. The time period noted represents the time in both companies. I was recruited to HP3 as Marketing Director and was rapidly promoted to VP and then to EVP. As EVP, I assumed business development, strategic and operational responsibilities, positioning HP3 for purchase by NCI and then supported the integration of HP3 within NCI as a Director and continuing with primary business development responsibilities for CDI and coding services for Navigant. For both Navigant and HP3, I delivered $6+ million in sales out of total business unit sales of $20+ million. For remaining $14+ million, I was frequently involved in pricing development and proposal review. At HP3, my responsibilities changed according to changing organization needs. I took on responsibility for delivery of consulting services in the South and Midwest regions, oversaw operational functions including employee scheduling, marketing and product development, and managed engagements. During this period, I spoke at numerous national and regional industry forums on clinical documentation improvement, Medicare reimbursement, Present On Admission (POA), Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program and quality indicators. CHC (formerly NASDAQ: CHRZ) acquired the healthcare provider practice from ZAC, a private partnership. I went to CHC as part of the acquisition. I was a key participant in growing and packaging the provider practice at ZAC for sale to CHC. The time period represents the time with both companies. I was responsible for business development, marketing, project management and selected operational functions. I implemented lead tracking and prospecting processes resulting in $5+ million in new sales within one year. Grew HIPAA compliance service line from zero clients to over 300 clients in three years. I sold and led a complex compliance engagement to the Board of Directors of a leading health plan and provider organization. The engagement required facilitation of agreement and adoption of a new Code of Conduct by unions, management, for profit, and not for profit entities and subsidiaries. Show less
