The MVB is a company expanding from the German book market to other markets in the world by cooperating with other companies or acquisitions. In the first phase we did a complete redevelopment of the twenty year old system doing the major part of the file based electronic data exchange on the US and CA book market. The new pubnet.org was successfully set live in December 2018. In the second phase we developed a new standard doing the real time electronic data exchange between supplier and retailer over webservices. The file based communication of Pubnet has been extended by these possibilities and the legacy system Pubeasy has be replaced by this redevelopment retaining compatibility. At the same time the system has been extended by a complete product catalog of millions available books and the possibility for retailers to do interactive ordering. Pubnet and Pubeasy are now positioned on the world leading business platform in the book market used by all big suppliers from US, UK, Canada, Brasil and Mexico and thousands of retailers all over the world. The third phase after the successfull launch of Pubeasy in March 2021 builds up on the PubX platform to extend the possibilities, support further document exchange formats and replace the main business platform in the book market of Germany. GKL is a company providing gambling services in an agile environment with many restrictions. Main target of the assignment was to provide a SAP based CRM system all necessary interfaces to several payment, person verification, messaging and other service providers. Additionally an already developed domain specific expert system needed to be coupled with the CRM system and improved to be ready for the necessary high performance processing. The first project was to build up a system, receiving information about every sold piece of music in Europe (e.g. as a CD but also streamed by iTunes, Spotify, YouTube), matching them to the database of titles, calculating the amount the partner has to pay and dividing the payed amount to every member. The second project was to build up a system to correct already spilled out amounts in case of disputes. Doppelmayr is the leading supplier of ropeways in the world. During the study I worked as one of the two Windows administrators at Doppelmayr and the subsidiaries. Additionally to the first level support of the employees one major project was the consolidation of the hundreds of PCs, building up standard for software and installations to minimize the administration effort and allow remote administration. Additionally migration of all employees to Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Terminal Server and Office 2000 has to be done.
