Release and Quality Engineer- Single US Release Manager supporting ~300 engineers- Vet every "classic" (non-microservice) change for quality requirements and hold devs/managers accountable for gaps- Ship and monitor every change to production, make sure it's tested thoroughly, and mitigate risk, know when to roll back and when to fix-forward based on impact, and when to escalate- Identify risky/difficult-to-test changes ahead of time and assemble relevant support staff and developers to plan release timeline and communicate risks to org and customers. - Monitor production-support channels and initiate incidents with manager on call and/or participate in every production incident, identifying root causes or pulling in appropriate teams to do so - and releasing fixes/reverts to production, and communicating impact to the rest of engineering and freezing releases where appropriate.- Improve quality and release processes to protect production from incidents- Continually monitor all repo master/main builds and resolve failures- Work with Quality, DevOps, and SecOps to implement and enforce release standards (reviews, checks, branch protection, establish code owners, security vulnerabilities, test coverage) - Troubleshoot and/or solve/triage Jenkins, Chef, Docker failures- Continually monitor and triage production errors, routing to teams or correlating with releases and rolling back where needed- Participate in SOC audits, providing evidence and explanations- Continually follow up with individual teams on issues to pursue resolution- Design, implement, and grow pull request templates to enforce code requirements and maintain github groups related to those requirement checks- Monitor all UI smoke tests that monitor health of prod and identify/triage/fix failures.
