Worked in the archiving room of the prison. During my time here, I archived and catalogued personal and sensitive information about past inmates in Ireland's prisons. Changed my outlook on life too. I worked in the Solvency Unit of the CRO. Checked documentation accordingly and verified that it was answered correctly. Forms were uploaded to the website for public consumption. Phone and email queries were dealt with accordingly. Secondary duties involved: Sorting the daily post. Ensuring that stationery levels were always optimal. Conducted regular stock takes and informed management of any shortages. I worked in the Solvency Unit of the CRO. Checked documentation accordingly and verified that it was answered correctly. During my time as a Clerical Officer in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, I was in the Foreign Births Registration Section and processed applications of citizens who had an Irish born grandparent. I dealt with applications from the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. This step was crucial as the citizens must become Irish citizens before they can get an Irish Passport. Delivered excellent customer service and perfomed ad-hoc administrative duties that were assigned to me. The role required me to use my initiative to help run a busy office. From filing, scanning and sorting out all documentation ranging from time slots to more personal data. I implemented the process from my supervisor and mentor. Each day, I looked at ways I was able improve my efficiency, so I could get the job done quicker and more precisely. Secondly, it was a great privilege to work with people less fortunate than myself, understand their needs and deliver the best service to the organisation. Show less

Teaching senior citizens how to use smartphones and computers in a safe, controlled and comfortable environment. It gave me first hand experience on customer service and in handling people's requests and trying to come up with the best possible solution for their problems. It enabled me to use my skills in computers and smartphones, in terms of software to help tailor lessons to students (adjusting the pace of the class to suit their needs).
