As a Asistant Breeder of Tomato Crop , I’m responsible for mentioned duties below ;• Coordinate and communicate the daily breeding program activities to the technical assistants and the crop employees within the breeding team and provide them with technical advice in order to meet agreed standards, time planning.• Development of breeding materials to support breeding research. Manage, design, develop, and implement Tomato breeding research projects to develop hybrids that will contribute to the commercial success of the company. • Implementation of the breeding plan: crossing plan,line and hybrid development, selection schemes and optimize the trialing network. Contribution to the optimization of the breeding strategy by molecular markers and demand of market targets.• Collaborate with other research team members of the company to exchange ideas, data and other items to maximize performance of the team. • Design, evaluate and formulate with the Breeder long and short terms breeding plan and goals to produce new products by translating market requirements and future needs from the marketing and sales team. Represents the Breeder in optimizing the efficiency and output of the breeding program. Cooperate in designing and implementing new technologies and breeding methods in order to ensure a constant flow of commercially successful varieties. • Identify appropriate varieties and make recommendations for advancement and commercialization. • Maintain seed of inbreds and parent lines and work closely production group for hybrid seed production Show less
